There are plenty of times I can’t stop my mind from racing and/or I can feel a bellyache coming on. At 28 years old, I have come to learn my body and what works for me. In these moments I find it’s best to force myself to draw a bath for a soothing and relaxing detoxification.

Bathing and Bathhouses were famous amongst the Ancient Romans to keep skin healthy and glowing.

Recently, Skin Inc. published an article about Why Magnesium Bathing is 2019s Top Self-Care Trend and I suggest reading through this as they describe the properties and benefits of bathing in Magnesium.

I find bathing once a week to be very important for my mind, body and soul. In fact, I even have my fiancé taking a bath once a week for relaxation and bone and joint support. My bath time detox solution consists of:

Ingredients:
1 cup of Epsom Salt 1 tbsp of baking soda OR
1 cup of Calcium Bentonite Clay
5 drops of Rosehip oil or Jojoba oil (optional) 10-15 drops of Lavender or Peppermint Essential oil (optional)

Directions:

Mix all ingredients as bath fills up, when ready enjoy and relax for a minimum of 20 minutes to reap full benefits of detoxification. When finished, I love to use Burt’s Bee’s Cocoa and Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion for dry skin or you can use the Burt’s Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion for normal and dry skin. Take this bath once a week and you’ll begin to feel the benefits.

I like to use Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt for $12.95+ from amazon but I have used off brand from Walgreens or Walmart before.

The calcium bentonite clay I use is the Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask for $8.95+ from amazon.
