The PERFECT Steak
When it comes to steak in our home, we all have different preferences. Of course, the grill is ideal for a nice customized cooked steak but that is not always an option for us. I’ve found my favorite way to cook steak indoors to each of our liking!
Ingredients:
2 steaks of choice (T-Bone, Ribeye, NY Strip)
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/4 cup olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. While the oven is preheating, I like to chop the garlic and heat the stove to medium-high.
3. Coat a skillet or pan in olive oil. Once hot (if oil moves around pan very loosely), depending on the size of the pan, add one steak at a time and cook about 2 minutes each side. Remove from stove and repeat with remaining steak(s). Place cooked steaks onto baking sheet with foil and coat with garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper.
*If you prefer to marinate the steaks either overnight or for hours, you can prepare the mixture of chopped garlic, rosemary, salt, pepper and olive oil and coat in steak in fridge before hand. Thaw from refrigerator for about an hour before cooking.
5. Cook in oven for about 12-15 minutes depending on how you like it. You can flip midway through if preferred but I found it better to keep the oven shut the entire time.
6. Serve and enjoy!
